Halloween Party Prep!

Well the Shoop Family Halloween party is making an appearance for the first time in about 4 years. We are very excited about this and I've been decorating! I came up with a project that turned out so well I thought I'd share it- It was very simple, and a cost of less than $20. First I picked up some old frames from a thrift store and removed all the backing, glass, etc:

Then I spray painted them black:

After they were dry, I sealed them with some clear spray sealer that I have on hand for my signs. After they were dry, I applied Command picture strips to the backs so that I didn't damage my walls:

Once I had them all on the walls where I wanted them, I added some vinyl Halloween designs that I created. I made a point to make them crooked and off center a little.

To finish it off, I added some crows on the walls to look like they are standing on the frames, and then added some spider webbing- I LOVE how it all turned out!

Super fun, super easy and already a huge hit with all who have seen it!

I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted!

A lot has changed in the last year and now that I have time to blog, I am looking forward to it!

Now that the Christmas rush is over...

I'm taking some time to plan the next year! I'm excited, yet nervous about what is to come...

Ahh... mid week!

Just a quick store update- I'm offering free U.S. shipping on all items in my tile shop (shooptiles32.esty.com) for the month of October--- good time to stock up for Christmas!

Halloween "BOO" Garland!

Kids Suck.

Ok.. I know this has absolutly NOTHING to do with my business, but I just have to say that kids suck. Someone stole my sons bike yesterday- right from our front door....in the daylight! I know that he should have put it away in the garage but still. Who would want his beat up bike anyway?

And it's not like he can't have a bike- he litteraly just made jazz band- and now has morning practice at 730...so he has to use it to get to school. Guess I'll be taking him to the store tonight to purchase a new one- gotta love unexpected $100 purchases!

Anyhoo- back to business!

Gotta love fall! The weather has changed and is now cool and crisp out- we were able to get Halloween up at our house- a yearly favorite of ours!

I've been busy creating some new items- hoping to get them up and listed this week!
